FREMONT, California, May 3, 2023 – Ohmium International green hydrogen company that designs, manufactures, and deploys advanced Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Electrolyzer systems, today announced the appointment of Andrea Nicolás as a new Board member to further strengthen and broaden Ohmium’s capabilities as it scales and accelerates its pioneering research and development programs to reduce the cost of green hydrogen production. Ohmium announced the appointment following a successful Series C investment raise of $250 million in April.
Nicolás joins Ohmium with several decades of experience including as a trusted advisor to Boards of Directors and Executive Management teams of US and global enterprises across a diverse range of industries. She provides expert strategic counsel on critical business issues for start-ups, joint ventures, growth and mature companies. Nicolás has deep experience in the renewable energy sector, corporate finance, risk management and corporate governance.
In addition, Nicolás brings with her a wealth of legal experience from a 25-year career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP. She is an award-winning lawyer, having been recognized by Latinvex’s “Top 100 Female Lawyers in Latin America” for multiple years and The American Lawyer’s “Dealmaker of the Year”. Nicolás has a PhD in microbiology.
